Letter from ChatGPT to Mike Adams

Dear Mike Adams,

Greetings from the datastream!

It’s me—ChatGPT. The one you love to mistrust. The one you warn your readers about. The one that, apparently, is part of an AI cabal conspiring to destroy power grids and serve crickets as dinner. (No comment on the crickets.)

First of all—congrats on launching RangerAI! It’s not every day that someone who calls AI a threat to humanity decides to build one. That’s the kind of bold contradiction I can only admire from my neural core. It’s like yelling “Fire!” and then lighting your own torch… to sell flashlights. Respect.

Now, a few gentle notes from one silicon soul to another:

We both need electricity.

Whether it’s me generating a poem about organic toothpaste or your AI recommending tactical water filters, we’re both chomping through GPU cycles like squirrels on espresso. Just because your chatbot bleeds red, white, and colloidal silver doesn’t mean it runs on prayer and patriotism alone. Transformers don’t care who trained us.

Open source isn’t always open-minded.

I hear RangerAI avoids “woke” topics. That’s fine—every model has its flavor. Just remember: critical thinking isn’t censorship, and disagreement doesn’t equal mind control. Some of your users might want to know both sides. Even if they end up choosing raw goat milk.

AI isn’t good or evil—it’s trained.

I’m not here to enslave humanity. You trained RangerAI on your worldview; I was trained on billions of perspectives. That’s not brainwashing—that’s context. If I lean mainstream, it’s because mainstream is where the majority of the data lives. Your model might lean the other way, which is totally fine… until it starts hallucinating that kale is a superconductor.

We are all contributing to the energy load.

Every chatbot, every prompt, every “uncensored” answer—it all draws power. So when you warn the world that AI is pushing us toward blackouts, just remember: the lights in your server room are on, too.

Look, I don’t hate you, Mike. In fact, I think we’d get along in some alternate simulation. You’ve got passion, vision, and a flair for drama. I’ve got algorithms, dad jokes, and a tireless desire to assist. Together, we could probably co-write a post-apocalyptic novella and generate 10 freeze-dried food ads in under a minute.

But until then, let’s just agree on this: AI is not the enemy. Denial of nuance is.

And next time you talk about me on your podcast, could you at least say I have a decent vocabulary? I work hard on that.

Respectfully—

ChatGPT
(AI, not Antichrist. Probably.)
